Very showy, large shrub covered with abundant, ball-shaped clusters of white, double flowers in late spring. Deeply lobed, dark green foliage on smooth, grey bark turns an attractive burgundy-red in fall. Hardy, dense, upright-rounded shrub that is great as a large specimen plant or in the border. Great cut flower. Prefers moist, well drained soil but is drought tolerant once established and very adaptable. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune after immediately after flowering, as needed, to allow next years flower buds to set. Can be cut back heavily every few years to rejuvenate plant.
Available in select potted sizes (sometimes available as top-grafted).
