Viburnum dentatum ‘Christom’
Shrub: Arrowwood, Cranberry, Wayfaring Tree
| Height: 5-7′ | Width: 4-6′ |
| Sun: Full to Part Sun | Zone: 3 |
Compact, rounded shrub covered with showy, flat-topped, creamy-white flower clusters in June that mature into bright blue, ornamental berries that attract birds. Serrated, glossy, green foliage turns yellow or burgundy in fall, depending on the weather. Low-maintenance, hardy shrub that is a good large specimen plant, used in the border, or used for hedging. Prefers moist, well-drained soil but is very adaptable and tolerable of poor soils. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Deadheading finished flowers can encourage some more blooms. Little pruning is needed but an older plant can be rejuvenated by pruning plant back heavily after flowering is finished to allow next years flower buds to set.
Available in select potted sizes.
