Reblooming lilac shrub with fragrant, rich purple, single flowers on rounded panicles in spring, then blooming again from mid-summer through fall. Green, small, pointy foliage on a mounded, compact habit. Bloomerang Series Lilac. Non-suckering: great specimen plant or used as a low hedge. Good cut flower. Best flowering in full sun. Prefers moist, well drained soil but is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Lilacs bloom on old wood: to shape, prune after first flush of flowers is finished to allow next years flower buds to set. To encourage second flush of flowers, prune off seedheads after spring flowering is finished to promote new flowering.
