Syringa x prestoniae ‘Royalty’

Shrub: Lilac

Height: 8-10′ Width: 6-8′
Sun: Full Sun Zone: 2

Dark purple, single buds open to masses of violet-purple, lightly-fragrant, single blooms on pyramidal panicles in late spring. Crinkly, green foliage turns yellow in fall on a dense, upright growth habit. Non-suckering, very hardy plant that is great as a specimen plant or used for hedging. Great cut flower. Best flowering in full sun. Prefers moist, well drained soil but is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Lilacs bloom on old wood: prune right after flowering is finished to allow next years flower buds to set and to promote strong new growth.

Available in select potted sizes.
