Syringa x prestoniae ‘Donald Wyman’

Shrub: Lilac

Height: 8-10′ Width: 6-8′
Sun: Full Sun Zone: 2

Purple buds open to upright panicles of single, lightly fragrant, purple blooms on upright panicles above foliage in late spring. Dense, dark green, crinkly foliage turns yellow in fall. Upright growth habit; non-suckering. Used as a specimen plant for large areas or for hedging. Good cut flower. Best flowering in full sun. Prefers moist, well drained soil but is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Lilacs bloom on old wood: prune right after flowering is finished to allow next years flower buds to set and to promote strong new growth.

Available in select potted sizes.
