Syringa x prestoniae ‘Charisma’

Shrub: Lilac

Height: 3-4′ Width: 2-3′
Sun: Full Sun Zone: 2

Very compact, dwarf lilac with lightly fragrant, lilac-purple flowers on small, upright panicles that emerge from pink flower buds in spring. Pointy, leathery, dense green foliage turns yellow in fall on an upright, ball-shaped form. Non-suckering: excellent specimen plant for small areas or as a low hedge. Good cut flower. Best flowering in full sun. Prefers moist, well drained soil but is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Lilacs bloom on old wood: prune right after flowering is finished to allow next years flower buds to set and to promote strong new growth.

Available in select potted sizes.
