Madame Lemoine French Lilac
Syringa vulgaris ‘Madame Lemoine’
Shrub: Lilac
| Height: 8-10′ | Width: 8-10′ |
| Sun: Full Sun | Zone: 2 |
Strongly fragrant, upright panicles of double, white flowers in spring. Heart shaped, smooth, green foliage turns yellow in fall. Dense and upright: suckering habit makes it great for hedging and screens. An old fashioned, very hardy favourite. Good cut flower. Best flowering in full sun. Prefers moist, well drained soil but is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Lilacs bloom on old wood: prune right after flowering is finished to allow next years flower buds to set and to promote strong new growth, suckers can be pruned anytime.
Available in select potted sizes.
