Distinctive pink flower buds open to strongly fragrant, double, pale-pink blooms that mature to white on upright, showy panicles in spring. Smooth, green, heart-shaped foliage turns yellow in fall. Vigorous, upright, hardy shrub. Suckering: great for hedging, screens and large areas. Great cut flower. Best flowering in full sun. Prefers moist, well drained soil but is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Lilacs bloom on old wood: prune right after flowering is finished to allow next years flower buds to set and to promote strong new growth, suckers can be pruned anytime.
Available in select potted sizes.
