Shrub: Lilac
| Height: 8-10′ | Width: 7-8′ |

Deep pinkish-purple buds open to large, double florets of very fragrant, magenta flowers in long, upright panicles in spring. Upright form with blue-green, smooth, heart shaped foliage. Good cut flower. Hardy and fast-growing, suckering shrub that makes a great hedge or screen. Best flowering in full sun. Prefers moist, well drained soil but is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Lilacs bloom on old wood: prune right after flowering is finished to allow next years flower buds to set and to promote strong new growth, suckers can be pruned anytime.
Available in select potted sizes.
