Dark pink buds open to showy, strongly fragrant, double, pink blooms on upright panicles in spring. Smooth, green, heart-shaped foliage on an upright, very hardy shrub. Suckering: great for hedging, screens and large areas. Good cut flower. Best flowering in full sun. Prefers moist, well drained soil but is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Lilacs bloom on old wood: prune right after flowering is finished to allow next years flower buds to set and to promote strong new growth, suckers can be removed anytime.
Available in select potted sizes.
