Miss Kim Lilac
Syringa patula ‘Miss Kim’
Shrub: Lilac
| Height: 5′ | Width: 4-5′ |
| Sun: Full Sun | Zone: 3 |
Dwarf variety lilac shrub with purple buds that open to highly fragrant, lavender-blue, single blooms on panicles which cover the plant in late spring. Dark green, pointy, crinkled foliage turns burgundy-red in fall. Dwarf, compact habit; non-suckering. Great specimen shrub, used in mass plantings or used as low hedging. Great cut flower. Best flowering in full sun. Prefers moist, well drained soil but is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Lilacs bloom on old wood: prune right after flowering is finished to allow next years flower buds to set and to promote strong new growth, suckers can be pruned anytime.
Available in select potted sizes.
