Dwarf Korean Lilac
Syringa meyeri ‘Palibin’
Shrub: Lilac
| Height: 3-4′ | Width: 4-5′ |
| Sun: Full Sun | Zone: 2 |
Compact, dwarf lilac with fragrant, lavender, dainty and single blooms that emerge from red-violet, pointed buds in spring. Profuse and showy bloomer. Dark green, rounded, small foliage turns orange-red in fall. Low-maintenance, uniform, rounded shrub. Non-suckering: great specimen plant for small spaces or borders, or as a low hedge. Good cut flower. Sometimes known as ‘Little-leaf Lilac’. Best flowering in full sun. Prefers moist, well drained soil but is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Lilacs bloom on old wood: prune right after flowering is finished to allow next years flower buds to set and to promote strong new growth.
Available in select potted sizes (sometimes available as top-grafted).
