Compact shrub covered with showy clusters of flat-topped, carmine-red flowers that fade to rosy-pink, from summer until fall. Dense, serrated blue-green foliage is red-tipped in spring and turns reddish-purple in fall. Great for foundations/borders or used in mass plantings. Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Spent flowers can be sheared off to encourage continuous blooming. Blooms on new wood: to shape, prune as needed in late winter/early spring before new growth emerges.
Available in select potted sizes.
