My Monet Weigela
Weigela florida ‘Verweig’
Shrub: Weigela
| Height: 1-1.5′ | Width: 1.5-2′ |
| Sun: Full Sun | Zone: 4 |
Dwarf, variegated shrub with attractive, green foliage with a white and pink margin. Tubular, pink flowers stand out against the pointy foliage in spring and attract hummingbirds. Low and compact, dense habit that makes a showy accent plant or used in the border. Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Needs to be planted in a protected area for best results in a zone 3; will benefit from snow cover in winter. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Needs little pruning, if needed, prune after flowering to rejuvenate plant and to allow next years flower buds to set. Dead-heading spent flowers may encourage a new flush of blooms.
Available in select potted sizes.
