Red-tipped, yellow-green foliage all summer turning russet-red in fall on a small, compact, dense shrub. Clusters of flat-topped, deep pink flowers in summer. Best foliage colour in full sun. Great low maintenance, tidy plant for small areas, borders or mass plantings. Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Spent flowers can be sheared off to encourage a new flush of blooms. Blooms on new wood: to shape, prune as needed in late winter/early spring before new growth emerges.
