Flamingo Willow
Salix integra ‘Flamingo’
Shrub: Willow
| Height: 5′ | Width: 5′ |
| Sun: Full to Part Sun | Zone: 3 |
Beautiful variegated foliage with new foliage emerging soft white and pink then fading to white-green variegated in summer. Narrow leaves on red-pink, smooth stems that add winter interest. Graceful, rounded shrub that is resistant to heat scorch. Best foliage colour in full sun. Prefers fertile and moist soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Foliage colour is most colourful on new foliage: can be sheared in the growing season to encourage a flush of new growth. For heavy pruning that is needed to rejuvenate old stems, cut back in late winter/early spring before new growth emerges.
Available in select potted sizes.
