Rosa ‘Morden Sunrise’

Shrub: Rose

Height: 2-3′ Width: 2-3′
Sun: Full Sun Zone: 3

Showy, yellow, orange and pink, semi-double blooms that open from orange flower buds. Continuous, mildly-fragrant bloomer from summer to frost: colour intensifies in cool weather and lightens to yellow and light-peach in hot weather; orange rose hips in fall. Glossy dark green foliage on a compact, round habit; great small specimen plant. Good cut flower. Parkland series. Hardy, moderately disease resistant shrub; drought tolerant once established in moist, well-drained soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Roses need full sun for best flower production and a well-ventilated area; prefers moist, well-drained soil. Avoid getting the foliage wet when watering, instead water at soil level. Blooms on new wood: may cut back heavily in spring before growth emerges to promote new growth and better flower production, with heavy winter die back, prune back as low as the root system. Cut at a 45 degree angle rather than straight across, above an outward facing bud. Regular deadheading of finished flowers will promote more flower buds, ending a few weeks before end of summer to allow rose hips to form.

Available in select potted sizes.
