Height: 3-3.5′ | Width: 2.5-3′ |
Sun: Full Sun | Zone: 3 |
White, semi-double, lightly fragrant blooms with yellow eyes open from showy, pointed buds throughout the summer. Dark green, glossy foliage on a compact, rounded shrub. Good cut flower. Repeat bloomer; hardy and very disease resistant foliage, drought tolerant once established. Parkland Series. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Roses need full sun for best flower production and a well-ventilated area; prefers moist, well-drained soil. Avoid getting the foliage wet when watering, instead water at soil level. Blooms on new wood: may cut back heavily in spring before growth emerges to promote new growth and better flower production, with heavy winter die back, prune back as low as the root system. Cut at a 45 degree angle rather than straight across, above an outward facing bud. Regular deadheading of finished flowers will promote more flower buds, ending a few weeks before end of summer to allow rose hips to form.
Available in select potted sizes.
