Rosa ‘Adelaide Hoodless’

Shrub: Rose

Height: 4-5′ Width: 3-4′
Sun: Full Sun Zone: 2

Large clusters of red, semi-double, mildly fragrant blooms all summer followed by showy orange rose hips in fall. Vigorous growing, upright shrub with arching stems and green, glossy foliage. Repeat bloomer; good cut flower. Parkland Series. Hardy, disease resistant variety, drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Roses need full sun for best flower production and a well-ventilated area; prefers moist, well-drained soil. Avoid getting the foliage wet when watering, instead water at soil level. Blooms on new wood: may cut back heavily in spring before growth emerges to promote new growth and better flower production, with heavy winter die back, prune back as low as the root system. Cut at a 45 degree angle rather than straight across, above an outward facing bud. Regular deadheading of finished flowers will promote more flower buds, ending a few weeks before end of summer to allow rose hips to form.

Available in select potted sizes.
