Rosy-pink, single flowers emerge from rose flower buds and cover the branches in spring before the foliage appears. Slender, glossy green foliage turns yellow to orange-bronze in fall; has small, inedible, fuzzy nuts. Upright, suckering shrub that is great for group or mass plantings or as a specimen shrub. Drought and chinook tolerant once established: prefers well-drained soil and does not do well in standing water. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Blooms on old wood: annual pruning right after flowering helps keep the shrub dense and compact; any winter die back can be pruned out as needed.
Available in select potted sizes.
