Sweetly fragrant, large, double white blooms cover the arching branches of this upright, vase-shaped shrub in late spring/early summer. Dark green foliage stays on well into fall: a large shrub that is great as a background plant. Best flowering in full sun. Prefers moist, well-drained soil but is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Blooms on old wood: if needed, prune to shape right after flowering so next years flower buds can form.
