Waterton Mockorange
Philadelphus lewisii ‘Waterton’
Shrub: Mockorange
| Height: 6-7′ | Width: 5′ |
| Sun: Full to Part Sun | Zone: 3 |
Hardy, native to SW Alberta, showy shrub with single, fragrant white blooms in late spring/early summer. Blooms cover arching branches and make this large, upright rounded shrub a good background specimen plant. Best flowering in full sun. Prefers moist, well-drained soil but is drought and chinook tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Blooms on old wood: if necessary, prune to shape right after flowering so next years flower buds can form.
Available in select potted sizes.
