Stunning, golden-yellow, tubular flowers cover the branches in spring before pointy, dark green leaves appear. Upright, compact growth habit with yellow-grey bark. Plant in south-east location sheltered from winter winds; produces the most flowers in a sunny location. Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune as necessary right after flowering to promote new growth and to let new flower buds set: when plant becomes old, cut to ground level in late winter/early spring to rejuvenate.
