Compact and rounded form on this hardy shrub prized for its long lasting, brilliant red fall colour. An improved selection of Dwarf Burning Bush with tighter branching and superior winter hardiness. Green foliage turns a cherry red in fall: best fall colour in full sun. Tiny, green-yellow spring flowers followed by ornamental red berries: corky-winged branches add winter interest. Great accent plant or for mass plantings. Prefers moist, well-drained soil but is very adaptable once established. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune as necessary while dormant: late winter/early spring is best, lightly shearing to shape or removing dead branches can be done anytime.
