Dwarf Burning Bush
Euonymus alatus ‘Compacta’
Shrub: Burning Bush
| Height: 4-5′ | Width: 5-6′ |
| Sun: Full to Part Sun | Zone: 3 |
Upright, compact, hardy shrub prized for its long lasting, brilliant red fall colour. Dark green, pointy foliage turns a bright red in fall: best fall colour in full sun. Tiny, yellow-green spring flowers are followed by small, orange-red ornamental fruit. Cork-like, ridged bark and brown-gold branches add winter interest. Great accent plant, used in mass plantings or as a hedge. Prefers moist, well-drained soil but is very adaptable once established. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune as necessary while dormant: late winter/early spring is best, lightly shearing to shape or removing dead branches can be done anytime.
Available in select potted sizes.
