Yellow Broom
Cytisus decumbens
Shrub: Broom
| Height: 6″ | Width: 3′ |
| Sun: Full to Part Sun | Zone: 3 |
Low-growing, prostrate shrub covered in bright yellow, pea-flower-like, long lasting blooms in spring. Tiny, dark green foliage on stiff branches. Low-growing habit makes it an excellent ground cover, great in rock gardens or used as a low, specimen plant. Prefers moist, well-drained soil but tolerates most soil types and is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer in early spring before new growth emerges. Remove old, spent blooms to promote new flowers.
Available in select potted sizes.
