Cornus stolonifera ‘Farrow

Shrub: Dogwood

Height: 3-4′ Width: 2-3′
Sun: Full to Part Sun Zone: 3

Compact, dwarf, hardy shrub with very upright, dark red stems that add great colour contrast in winter. Dense, pointy, dark green foliage matures to a scarlet-red to burgundy in fall. Clusters of creamy-white flowers in late spring are followed by ornamental, white berries in late summer that attract birds in winter. Non-suckering: great as an accent plant or in mass plantings. Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune in late winter/early spring to encourage new growth, control size, and keep them dense: remove about 1/3 of oldest stems annually.

Available in select potted sizes.
