Little Rebel Dogwood
Cornus alba ‘Jefreb’
Shrub: Dogwood
| Height: 3-4′ | Width: 3-4′ |
| Sun: Full to Part Sun | Zone: 2 |
Dwarf and compact, slow-growing, very hardy shrub with green-tinged, red branches that turn a vivid, blood red in fall and provide great colour contrast in winter. Dense, pointy, green foliage gets a burgundy tinge in fall with creamy-white, clustered flowers in late spring/early summer. Great as a small accent plant, in group plantings or as a low hedge. Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune in late winter/early spring to encourage new growth, control size, and keep them dense: remove about 1/3 of oldest stems annually.
Available in select potted sizes.
