Ivory Halo Dogwood
Cornus alba ‘Bailhalo’
Shrub: Dogwood
| Height: 4-5′ | Width: 4-5′ |
| Sun: Full to Part Sun | Zone: 3 |
Compact, rounded, hardy shrub with deep-red stems that add great colour contrast in winter. Attractive, pointy, green foliage has a variegated, ivory margin. Clusters of white blooms in late spring that mature to grey-white, ornamental berries in summer that attract birds in winter. Great as a specimen plant or used in groupings. Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune in late winter/early spring to encourage new growth, control size, and keep them dense: remove about 1/3 of oldest stems annually.
Available in select potted sizes.
