Compact, slow-growing, hardy shrub. White buds open to showy, sweetly-fragrant spikes of rosy-pink blooms in late summer. Glossy, green leaves mature to a golden-yellow in fall. Prefers moist, slightly acidic soil. Benefits from mulching around base to protect roots in winter in exposed locations. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune as needed in late winter/early spring while shrub is still dormant.
