Globe shaped, spreading habit on this spiny, very hardy shrub. Fine-textured, light green foliage matures to yellow in fall. Masses of small, pea-like, yellow flowers along arching branches in late spring/early summer. Great as an accent plant or low, barrier hedge because of its spiny branches. Heat, drought, salt and alkaline tolerant: does well in poor soil. Nitrogen fixing roots meaning they restore nitrogen from the air back into the soil. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune as necessary in late winter/early spring.
Available in select potted sizes.
