Globe Caragana
Caragana frutex ‘Globosa’
Shrub: Caragana
| Height: 2-3′ | Width: 2-3′ |
| Sun: Full Sun | Zone: 2 |
Dwarf, globe-shaped, slow-growing and very hardy shrub. Dense, bright green, oval foliage matures to yellow in fall. Occasional small, yellow flowers appear in spring. Excellent small accent plant, used in groupings or as a low hedge: good alternative for the less hardy boxwood plant. Non-suckering. Heat, drought, salt and alkaline tolerant: does well in poor soil. Nitrogen fixing roots meaning they restore nitrogen from the air back into the soil. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Low maintenance plant; if necessary, prune or shear to shape in late winter/early spring.
Available in select potted sizes.
