Tall and narrow, with a rounded top: a very hardy, large shrub or a small, multi-stemmed tree. Light green, compound leaves mature to yellow in fall. Smooth, olive-green bark and yellow, pea-like flowers in spring. Excellent vertical accent plant or used as a screen or in group plantings. Heat, drought, salt and alkaline tolerant: does well in poor soil. Nitrogen fixing roots meaning they restore nitrogen from the air back into the soil. Fertilize in spring with an all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune as necessary in late winter/early spring; suckers can be removed anytime.
Available in select potted sizes.
