Rounded, spreading crown on this ornamental tree. Exceptionally heavy bloomer of fragrant, large panicles of creamy-white flowers in early summer with few seed heads. Dense, large, dark-green foliage matures to yellow in fall; attractive cherry-like bark. Non suckering and pest free making it great it for small yards or as a feature tree. Prefers well-drained soil; drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Little pruning is needed; if required, prune right after blooming so next years flower buds can set, dead branches can be removed anytime.
