Tree: Willow

Fast growing, graceful weeping, hardy tree. Golden branches and glossy, dark green, dense foliage that matures to yellow in fall. Great specimen tree for large areas; avoid planting close to buildings because of its aggressive root system. Willows do great in wet or low-lying areas and are adaptable to many soil conditions, including poor soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Little pruning necessary; if needed prune in late winter/early spring, while dormant, dead branches can be removed anytime.
