Tree: Ornamental Cherry & Plum

Upright, small, hardy tree with long clusters of light pink, fragrant spring flowers that mature to black, small fruit in summer and attracts birds. Pointy, green and burgundy foliage with a smooth, brown-grey bark. Great specimen or small yard tree. Does not tolerate standing water; does best in well-drained soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune as necessary in late winter/early spring; suckers and dead branches can be removed anytime.
