Tree: Ornamental Cherry & Plum

Rounded, dense, hardy tree known for its beautiful, fragrant display of white spring flowers that cover the entire tree in long clusters. Green, pointy foliage leafs out early and turns yellow to orange in fall. Small, black fruit in summer attracts birds. Great accent, shade, or privacy tree. Does not tolerate standing water; does best in well-drained soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune as necessary in late winter/early spring; suckers and dead branches can be removed anytime.
