Tree: Ornamental Cherry & Plum

Small, compact, hardy specimen tree. Clusters of white, spring blooms cover the tree, maturing to small, ornamental, black fruit. Green, glossy foliage turns yellow to orange in fall with exfoliating, reddish bark that adds winter interest. Great small specimen tree with multi-seasonal interest. Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Needs little pruning; if necessary prune after flowering, for major pruning wait til late winter/early spring.
