Very large, fast growing, broad tree. Large, dark-green, heart shaped foliage matures to yellow in fall. Very hardy selection that is recommended for shelterbelts, windbreaks or shade in a large area. Plant 15′ apart when using as a windbreak. Poplars grow best in moist, rich soil but can grow in a wide variety of soils and are very adaptable. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune while dormant as needed, late winter/early spring is best; suckers should be pruned down as soon as they appear.
Available in select bareroot and potted sizes.
