Rounded, spreading, hardy tree with fragrant, pink spring blooms that mature to small, red, ornamental fruit that persists into winter. Red-green foliage turns yellow-orange in fall. Used as a specimen tree. Needs well-drained soil but tolerates many other soil types. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. If necessary, prune immediately after flowering so next spring’s flower buds can form, for major pruning wait until late winter; suckers can be removed anytime.
Available in select potted sizes.
