Very hardy, seedless tree with a tight, narrow, dense canopy. Dark green foliage turns yellow-gold in early fall. Excellent low-maintenance shade, street, median, or windbreak tree. Plant 12-15′ apart when using as a windbreak. Alkaline soil tolerant; drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Requires little pruning, if necessary prune while dormant; late winter/early spring is best; dead branches can be removed anytime.
