Very hardy, rounded, slow-growing accent tree. Dense canopy of large, palm-shaped green leaves that turn yellow to orange-red in fall. Masses of white-yellow, orchid-like spring blooms followed by large, brown, inedible seed capsules. Best fall colour with warm, sunny temperatures. Excellent as a showy specimen tree. Tolerates a wide variety of well-drained soil conditions. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune as necessary while dormant; late winter/early spring is best.
Available in select potted and caliper sizes.
