Fast growing, hardy maple for the prairies. Upright, oval shape with silvery-green foliage maturing to yellow in fall. Smooth, gray bark. Great for large areas, as a shade or specimen tree. Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune as necessary only when tree is in full-leaf, about beginning of July.
