Rounded, almost thornless, fast-growing shrub. Small, white-green flowers in spring and green, lobed foliage that turns red in fall. Abundant, round, green fruit that ripens to pale pink or purple, with a sweet flavour. Fruit is good for jam, pies, cooking and wine. Ripens in July. Good mildew resistance. Prefers moist, well-drained soil and a wind-protected location. Fertilize in spring before new growth emerges with a good compost or an all-purpose fertilizer. Prune a one third section of canes back to the ground each spring to encourage new growth and better fruit production.
Self-pollinating.
Available in select potted sizes.
