Hardy, reliable producers. Different selections of strawberry plants available: everbearing (producing a crop in June and one in early fall), June bearing (produces one large crop in June) and day-neutral (produces a smaller crop of fruit over a longer period of time). Fruit is excellent for eating fresh, baking, cooking, and freezing. Can be planted in gardens in rows or in containers/pots. Strawberry plants prefer rich, moist, well-drained soil and will not tolerate standing water. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or an all-purpose fertilizer before spring new growth. When planting in the ground, mulching around the base of the plant in summer to protect roots from high temperatures and in the fall for winter protection is recommended. Remove runners as they come up to control plant size; divide plants every few years to rejuvenate them.

Self-pollinating.

Available in select bareroot sizes.
