Upright, broad-pyramidal evergreen with long, dark green needles in bundles of 2 and glossy brown cones. Compact, dense growth on this moderately fast-growing pine with excellent hardiness. Great specimen evergreen, used in foundations and as a screen. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. To maintain shape or control size, shear or pinch new growth (candles) when actively growing in late spring/early summer. Dead or broken branches can be removed as needed.
