Water's Scotch Pine Topiary
Pinus sylvestris ‘Watereri’
Evergreen: Pine
| Height: 8-12′ | Width: 6-8′ |
| Sun: Full Sun | Zone: 3 |
Topiary form of Scotch Pine with pom-pom like, blue-green, twisted needles at the ends of branches for a unique look. Slow-growing pine that does best when planted in a sheltered, wind-protected location that receives full sun. Requires annual shearing to maintain topiary form. Great specimen or feature plant or used in rock gardens. Prefers moist, well-drained soil and is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Shape yearly in late spring/early summer while new growth (candles) are still soft and not yet hardened off: pinch or trim back the new growth to almost the bottom of the candles (to the pom-pom shape) to maintain form.
Available in select potted sizes.
