True dwarf evergreen with a uniform, very dense, rounded growth habit. Short, medium to dark green needles in bundles of 2. Slow-growing, hardy and adaptable shrub that requires no shearing to maintain shape. Great accent plant for small spaces, used in borders, mass plantings and rock gardens. Prefers acidic, moist, well-drained soil but is drought tolerant once established. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Requires little to no pruning, shearing isn’t needed but can be done while actively growing in late spring, dead or broken branches can be removed as needed.
