Pinus aristata

Evergreen: Pine

Height: 13-15′ Width: 6-7′
Sun: Full Sun Zone: 2

Very interesting pine with upward-sweeping branches and an open, irregular appearance. Dark green, white-flecked needles are tightly bundled together. Hardy, very long-living and slow-growing evergreen. Can get to 20′ tall but will take many, many years to reach that size. Great character tree that makes a good accent evergreen or used in rock gardens. Requires well-drained, acidic soil and is drought tolerant once established: does not tolerate standing water. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Requires little to no pruning, if needed, only trim back current seasons growth while actively growing, dead, diseased or broken branches can be removed as needed.

Available in select potted and caliper sizes.
