Acer platanoides ‘Deborah’

Tree: Maple

Oval, rounded tree with attractive, true maple-leaf foliage that emerges bright red, matures to deep maroon and finally to dark green in summer, then golden yellow to orange in fall. Small, yellow flower clusters in spring before the foliage appears and smooth, grey bark. Good specimen tree. Prefers moist, acidic, well-drained soil but is very adaptable. Fertilize in spring with a good compost or all purpose fertilizer before new growth emerges. Prune as necessary only when tree is in full-leaf, about beginning of July.
